Münster Information on Berliner Platz
An Advent service point from Münster Marketing in collaboration with Immobilien- und Standortgemeinschaft Bahnhofsviertel Münster (ISG) welcomes visitors with information about the city, the Christmas markets, the Bahnhofsviertel (station quarter), and work in the quarter. All of the key tourist brochures and flyers from Münster Marketing are available here. Those who want them can also get Glühwein and non-alcoholic drinks from the festively decorated information hut. There is also a small Christmas programme by ISG here, put on by actors from the quarter.
The service team
"Christmas guides" provide further assistance
Which way to the coach parking? Where are the nearest toilets? Where is the luggage container? In order to make it easier for guests to find their way around the city amid the hustle and bustle of the Advent period, there is a team of “Advent guides” on the four Saturdays in Advent.
Between 11 AM and 7 PM, the service staff will be present in high traffic locations in the city to provide help and advice. You can recognise them by their yellow vests with a red “i”.
Store your shopping free of charge from 11 am to 9.30 pm on Saturdays in Advent in the bag container at Münster Information, Heinrich-Brüning-Straße 9, 48143 Münster
Christmas shopping can also be left at the Alter Fischmarkt courtyard free of charge (Monday to Saturday from 12 PM to 8 PM). A one Euro donation per bag handed over supports the “Mehr Raum für Nähe” (“More room for loved ones”) project at St. Francis Hospital. Initiative starke Innenstadt Münster e. V. is taking advantage of a building which is temporarily empty in order to provide this special service. More about the project: www.mehr-raum-für-nähe.de (in German only)
If your smartphone is out of juice: you can rent powerbanks at Münster Information (Heinrich-Brüning-Str. 9) for a refundable deposit of 15 Euros.
Information for people with disabilities
How can I access the markets in a wheelchair? What bus services are there? Where are disabled toilets, disabled car parks? The coordination point for disability matters has put information together. The city map also provides disabled people with information about the accessibility of tourist attractions, disabled car parks, and disabled toilets. The map is available from Münster Information or at the link below for initial orientation.
Important information: The disabled parking spaces on Heinrich-Brüning-Straße are not available during the Christmas market period. There are six additional parking spaces on Harsewinkelplatz during this period. Additionally, the car park on Stubengasse has four parking spaces for people with disabilities.
