The Villa ten Hompel offers historical and political experiences and insights in the context of a multifaceted culture. We offer a seminar program as well as the opportunity to do research in the library, several collections and the large archive. Everybody who is interested is more than welcome to join and attend the numerous series of lectures and events.
If you are interested in catching up on topics such as the National Socialism, current and prevailing issues, the historical involvement of the police forces and administration staff during the Second World War and the postwar period, cultural memory or dangers of right-wing extremism, you will find the opportunity to do so in the Villa ten Hompel.
Of course, the team of the Villa ten Hompel is happy to inform you about our pedagogical program which, among other offers, includes projects against right-wing extremism and racism, student workshops on democracy, trips to several memorial places, lendable "historical suitcases" as well as didactic material on several topics.
Furthermore, the "Mobile Beratung im Regierungsbezirk Münster" or "mobim" (mobile consulting against right-wing extremism) offers support and advice for all those who are interested in getting involved with the fight against racism and right-wing extremism. If Nazis announce a demonstration or threaten people, if right-wing extremists hand out propaganda in front of schools, if you want to start an alliance against right-wing extremism, the team of "mobim" quickly provides advice in an unbureaucratic way – and it is free of charge!
